All right, let's go. So I'm here today with uh Justin, and then we got Rick Yee, and we're gonna have a uh fun conversation today. We're just gonna get right into it because I don't like introductions and all that nonsense. So I want to talk about change a little bit, right? And this this is one thing that Rick is very good at. This is one thing Justin uh has been exploring with me. We were just talking about is change. You said a thing, and it's changes associated to loss, right? And uh I don't like loss. So when things are radically changing around me, for for the good or for not, uh like my I do this thing where I really attempt to control my environment. You know what I mean? I like to try to predict the plays, I like to try to lay out the circumstances, right? But it never works. And so in my personal life right now, you know, I'm going through like a little bit of restructure at work, right? And then, you know, in in in our men's group, like uh there's been a lot of change and restructure, right? Like uh uh my kids just moved to a new area, you know what I mean? So like I'm adapting to travel times and all this different stuff, you know what I mean? And then I I get home and I I don't sleep as well, right? Like I'm I'm getting older, middle aged, you're right. I I can't do the things that I used to do, right? So now I have to change my routines and how I take care of myself, how I recharge my battery, right? And it's it's one of those things to where um I struggle with a little bit because I'm an overthinker and an underdoer. Right. And so that's why it's hard for me because like I keep trying to think about like, all right, what's this change gonna look like instead of just be like, all right, things are changing, let's just see what happens and just be ourselves and be authentic throughout this process, right? Like um, relatable, not relatable thoughts. Like, what do you think of of this system I've been running lately?
SPEAKER_00Well, it's I think it's funny, it's more just what I see on this is uh it's funny because it's not your desire that's the issue, it's your strategy. That's what's that's what's everybody's thing is. Like your desire is to what control your environment or to to overcome uh you know change, like you said, and like oh man, things are different than they used to be. And so um, the desire to have stability or the desire to have a result, or the desire to feel valued, or the desire to be useful, the desire to grow, whatever the desire is. Um, it's usually not that that's the issue. It's how are you trying to do it? Well, the way I try to achieve this is I don't do as much as I should. I overthink things and then just leave it on the back burner. And then I wonder why everything's falling apart when I'm not doing the thing I know I should be doing. I'm really trying to control my environment here. I'm like, by not doing what you're supposed to do that you know you want to do, like, I don't understand the strategy. The desire is good, but the the playbook you're using doesn't match up with your desire. Um, it's ironic that we want to try to control environment, um, but you create environment not by control of the external, but by being in control of your internal self. And you know, Justin mentioned a thing for like the movie Limitless. Like the first thing he did when he took the NZT is the first thing he did was like, My house is a mess, and I'm a mess, and I gotta get a haircut and work out and clean my place. Like, the first thing he did was get right to an action stage or something like let's do something. There was no need to overthink it, and it probably also is a representation of like your disorder around you is a representation of the disorder in you. If you're not okay, the things around you don't look okay, but the more okay that you are, the more okay the things around you are, right? And a lot of times we want to try to fix the external before we go internal to go, what inside of me is not active, what inside of me is not being taken care of, and uh that's a really interesting game that people change, like they to try to control change, and they don't ever try to evolve, right? And that's the word that ends up like making it so it's like, hey, are you trying to control the loss element that's linked to change, or are you able to have acceptance in the evolving element that's associated to growing? It's the exact same behavior, but the way that we see it changes the movement that we have to it. It's like I've evolved into a more healthy adult, and so I clean my house. Instead of saying, Oh, now that I have this house, everything's so much work and so hard. It's like it's the same place. But if you now take pride in yourself and who you are and a healthy pride, not arrogant pride, um, you take care of yourself and you take care of your things more effectively. But if you uh avoid your own growth and your own evolution, uh it's very interesting to watch how we try to control everything else while not being the example of control for ourselves.
SPEAKER_03Yep. I think it's interesting you went to uh strategy and action too, because like I always hear people who are in that position of I I'm just not doing the thing I know I need to do. They're always waiting for this motivation, this big moment to come to just arrive at their doorstep to give them motivation to get going. And it's like perhaps you're looking at the wrong thing. Because what Rick was just saying was like you just go to your strategy. What's your strategy? Waiting around for motivation to just show up, and then you look at the people who who did the thing that you want to do, and you go, Oh, what did they do? Well, they just they took the fucking action, they just did it, they stopped with the excuses, they stopped waiting around, they just just did it. And once you do it, then that momentum carries you into continuing. Yeah, very true, man.
SPEAKER_02And then that's that's the that's the like the I guess you would call it paradox or whatever. Um, it's like you I know what to do. It's just sometimes it's it's a choice, right? And then you even know the answer. It's like all you have to do is just do this, right?
SPEAKER_03And then that's waiting for motivation instead of like you do know what to do.
SPEAKER_00It is ironic. The uh the motivation that you're saying is I'm waiting, I'm waiting, I'm waiting. Like you said, the paradox is I'm waiting for me to believe in me. Yeah, like, hey, can you do it? Yeah, I know I can do it. So, do you believe you're gonna get the fuck up and do it? I'm just waiting. I'm waiting for me to go, yes. Someday I'll say yes, I can do it and believe it. And when that day comes, all my dreams will come true. If only if only me would be there for me. Then I'll have everything. You're waiting for you to say, get the fuck up and go. Yeah, you're waiting for you.
SPEAKER_03Yep, and I I'll I'll remember even myself in this position going, I just don't even know how to start. And it's like, yes, you do. You literally just stand up and grab the first fucking thing you see and clean it, or or organize it, or do the thing, anything. I I forget there's this uh some somewhere in there was like Tony Robbins talking about like massive action. I forget exactly how he applied it.
SPEAKER_00Maybe you guys can help me when he's talking about getting started for his uh he had a system where he goes into the belief, the potential, the results, and then the action. He had the the inspiration loop, and he said, if you want massive results, take massive action. And so that's what Tony Robbins is talking about.
SPEAKER_03Yep. And I I remember there was a time I took that and I took the information of Grant Cardone, think of him what you will, but the 10X book was like saying the same thing. Just take fucking massive action. And I remember there was this time um I used to own a cart detailing business, and this was one of my first businesses that I just owned on my own and was trying to make it work in my early 20s. And I remember, dude, going around my entire city of Colorhouse Springs trying to get work from these dealerships, right? And I had I had made it to like I think it was it took me about a month to get to all of them, small and large, right? They all said no. And I I sat there with myself beside the river going, fuck, dude. I'm fucked. Like, what do I do? And I remember putting these pieces that were given to me of like massive action. It's like, okay, then I'll just turn around and go go ask them again, I guess. So I just I go back in and I'd ask them again. And it was very interesting that some of the dealerships, like even the large dealerships, in the coming years, I would come to work for them because I just never stopped asking. I'd show up once a month, like, how about now? Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02One thing, one thing that I've really been trying to challenge in myself is um I I came from like the addiction background and like the 12-step mindset and all that stuff. Like, and uh they really harp on impulsivity. They're like, oh man, like we gotta watch out for all these impulsive behaviors and these impulsive thoughts, right? And so I've been I've been challenging that a bit lately because there is a lot of times like I'll have this impulse, like, all right, I'm I need to get out of the house, like let's go up to the mountain, or like let's go take a bike ride, let's go do this, like let's go change the strings and the guitar or whatever, let's go do this, right? And then a lot of the times I deny that voice because I've I've been trained, and I, or rather, like I accepted this belief of like impulsivity is bad or it's like your enemy somehow. But the more I act on these impulses and just like listen to that voice, it's like, hey, let's go do this, let's go do this, let's go to the grocery store, just walk around, or whatever it is, you know, even if it's nonsense, it's like, all right, let's go. And then if I just take action on that, something else will happen in that, you know what I mean, in that area. It's like it happens every time, and then it's like, oh man, I really needed that today. That was nice, you know. But then it's it's like Rick was talking about, it's like for whatever reason we're waiting on this thing inside of ourselves to believe in ourselves or to just do the thing that we know that we're capable of or we want to pursue. Like, I wonder why that's so difficult as far as internal belief systems. Because I I talk to a lot of people like that.
SPEAKER_00This is interesting. You guys are all stacking different things here. I'm trying to keep notes on like because you guys are you guys are like bouncing from like uh the motivation, the jumping into the the repetition of jumping into the talking to the car dealerships, and then impulsivity, and um, you guys, uh it's fun to watch how you guys weave this web. So there's a lot in there, yeah. So it's pretty it's pretty interesting to see what you guys are seeing on this. I'm gonna jump backwards and then move it right back to you, Jordan. Um, the thing that uh I saw with what you were talking about for the massive action thing, uh in Justin, this is an interesting thing that you did. I don't know if you caught the the value in what you did just based on your story. I don't know if you realized how good it was. Is that uh you just went and started to go just to each dealership, just started going in there. Now, I would be willing to bet that when we first start doing anything, we're not that good at it. You know, fair. Like it doesn't matter what the sport is, doesn't matter what the activity is, doesn't matter what the skill is. Whenever we first do something, we're we're not that great at it, right? And so I can only imagine if you watched a video of the confidence you had on the very first sales pitch that you walked into to try to pitch your business. Um, I bet you you would you'd be like Dracula, like, oh I can't even watch. Like you'd you wouldn't be able to see yourself. Hey guys, like you know, hey, you know, it's cool if like imagine, like you know, like you just don't like cleaning. Like, some people don't like to clean, so I but like you know, wouldn't it be cool if somebody did, right?
SPEAKER_03It was exactly like that, yeah. And I had already done like sales in the past, but now this whole new thing, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I just like starting from the beginning, just going, you you wouldn't want to, you know, and kind of there's no clothes, there's no offer, there's nothing on the you just said, like people hate cleaning cars, right? You know, and they're like, Yeah, dude, okay, see ya. And you're like, you didn't even ask for business, you didn't even say, like, this is what you do. You just came in there and said cars at a dirty sock, and then you left because, like, I got rejected. I'm like, I don't think you did. You didn't ask for business, you didn't share what you're here for, and then uh just going through and bad pitching on things, you just kept going through. But it's like one of those things that by your your last pitch that you did at the month, I bet you it was better than your first one. May not have been good still, but way better than your first one. And then you said, Let me go back and do it again, and then you actually started getting callbacks and getting businesses because you might have gotten better and better and better by just doing it. And there's an element here I think people forget, and especially in the instant gratification society that we're in, most people don't even try unless they're an expert when they start. Like they'll immediately. I watched my daughters do this, especially my middle daughter. If she goes in there and she's gonna do something, and it's not immediately just I'm gifted at this, just quits, quit immediately. What I shoot once, didn't go in. This game's not for me. And it's like, oh man, there's no shoot your shot multiple times, there's no effort put into it. Very interesting to watch. So you kept showing up. What did you learn? Every time something happened, you're supposed to learn something. And how do you get good? You keep practicing, and that's what I think that you were getting at. That's a really powerful thing that people forget the power of the repetition, they just really do, and you doing that's really amazing. And today's society is really lacking in the fortitude to just hey, you didn't make your shot, but you get better at your shot if you keep shooting it, and this is where it's kind of cool to watch. Like, don't you see? You start getting business when you keep asking for business, but you don't just start off a champion, you have to start off as an amateur, and that's a pretty big thing. But then also you jumped into the impulsivity element and the belief systems that we adapt into uh impulsivity is your enemy, it's a very interesting belief system, and this is why you know I I'm such a fan as a challenger type. I love the challenge everything aspect, not to be right, but to be able to connect to truth or uh each other. Like, well, if impulsivity is your enemy, why do we have it? Why do we have impulses? Is it because we're we're filled with just foolishness and stupidity, or are there other desires that we actually do uh we do want fulfilled, or in the healthy version of the things that we need to? Is there a moderation or a discipline element that we can apply to the things that we actually enjoy? Are we maybe a maybe drawn to things that are different than other people are drawn to? Maybe there's interests that you have that I don't have. Maybe there's a thing that bothers you that doesn't bother me. Maybe these impulses are maybe a spiritual element of your authenticity, of who you really are, because we don't all like the same things. Is that curious? Is that weird? Is it because you don't like what I like makes you filled with the enemy? It's like, wait a second. If we're all built for a purpose on this world, if we all have a thing that we need to get good at and practice and and and we're drawn to, where we have a thing that why am I drawn to this thing, whether it's positive or negative, why am I drawn to it? There may be a healthy version of these impulses that are designed to try to help you find your purpose. So to say that you being on an authentic path of something you're drawn to or something that bothers you is the enemy is a fascinating fucking twist on a belief system. I think it's interesting to even sell it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean, man, that was a fantastic explanation of that. Um I'm trying to process some of that. But it is an interesting thing because that piece you said about well, if it's your enemy, why do we have it? Right. And I I heard this lady say a thing one time, she's like, we don't really have bad emotions or we don't have bad characteristics. They usually just get put in a bad role. Right? Like we're we're using them incorrectly or they're they're showing up under the wrong circumstances because we don't understand them or how they work, right? And the the more that I the more that I explore some of this impulsivity, um, like it kind of links to intuition. You know what I mean? Sometimes it it's uh you're being called to do something, right? And it's like, hey, let's get out and go do this. And then it'll lead to another series of events if you choose to be present. Like that's the key thing. It's like if you choose to be present, because I've I've done it a couple times. I'm like, all right, we're gonna go out and we're gonna go do this activity, right? And then I'll be like, I'll get out and I'll do it, and then I'll I'll use my little strategy and this this little deceptive system that I run to be like, all right, well, I did the thing, you know, box checked, now we can turn around and go home or whatever, right? Like it's like bare minimum. We're not really taking action. We're I was doing it because I was obligated, right? Or I or I was internally obligated to just like all right, let's do the thing, and then we can just get back to doing what we were doing before. Right? But it's it seems to be linked with intuition and like something something spiritual is kind of what I've been finding with it. I don't know if you guys can relate, but it's it's very interesting.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna throw it out there for you. This is uh I was I was I like researching. Obviously, I'm in the the behavioral psychology field, so I enjoy researching the other behavioral psychologists because there's like a thousand fields for what we do. And even though I do more of like the choice architecture, it's cool to watch other people's pattern assessments. One thing that I really enjoyed the study of that I thought was interesting is there was a couple Harvard teachers that were um testing out the accuracy of people's intuition or uh their um initial assessment of people, you know, that instinct element you're talking about, that intuition. And they're like, How accurate is this thing? They're like, let's check and see. So what they did is they had a whole bunch of students um and the people who weren't uh students of these different teachers. And what they would do is they would show uh this is back in the 90s, so they had VHS tapes, they would show like a 10-second introduction of like a person walking in the room. The professors would walk in the room and they would say, in 10 seconds, like give us your best assessment of what kind of person this professor is, like within 10 seconds of just watching them. And then they cross-referenced the judgments or the uh initial reactions, uh the the initial citing and judgment of these uh professors with the people who took the class for six months. They said, after six months of being with this professor, what kind of professor is this person? What do you think the percentage of like difference in the people who saw somebody for 10 seconds versus somebody who was with somebody for six months? What do you think the percentage difference was like in variation?
SPEAKER_02I would say it was fairly high. Like I'm gonna give it like 40 to 60, somewhere in that range.
SPEAKER_00Good guess. What do you think, Justin? The difference meaning they like like how accurate, like was it accurate within what percentage of accuracy do you think it was?
SPEAKER_03I think it was highly accurate. I'm gonna say 98% accurate.
SPEAKER_00So you're saying like two percent like fallacy, like it two percent were way off, 98% were right. Yeah, but it was less than one percent, it was like 0.74 accurate. Oh damn. That means when people see somebody, their initial biological instinct, their initial intuition of like registering is this person warm or cold? Are they safe or unsafe? Are they um competent or incompetent within seconds of meeting somebody without even them explaining background, what they do, who they are, within seconds, it was under one percent difference when people saw somebody for 10 seconds as it was for them being with them for six months? It was that accurate. Now they had to go even further. They're like, what about five seconds? What about two seconds? And even with two seconds, it was about the same. Within two seconds of seeing somebody without any speaking information that's been said, the accuracy of being able to judge is this person warm and competent, somebody I can follow, somebody who I can listen to, somebody who's worthy of my time, or is this person like detached, cold, doesn't give a fuck about anybody but themselves, and they're incompetent or foolish or kind of like sloppy or you know, unkept. This person doesn't care much. And that's why, Justin, what you said, like this guy you saw at the beginning of the movie limitless, his hair's all fucked up, he's sloppy, he's a mess. But you saw within him like just raising his competency immediately. He went to get a haircut, cleaned up, took it worked out, took a shower, cleaned his house. Like within seconds, his competency went up to the highest level of competency. And so, how do people interact with him at the beginning of the movie versus when he's on his NCT? All of a sudden you're starting to see the initial judgment of this person is immediately different based on just the way they stand, the way they look, the way they make eye contact, the way that they walk. We judge people very quickly. That intuition, that instinct instant within two seconds, you can gauge. Safe, competent, I can. You know, this is a person who I'm interested in engaging with. You see, when someone walks in the room, you can feel what kind of person that is. That's more accurate than we thought it would be.
SPEAKER_03That's super cool. I I gotta share this with you guys because I uh I watched in an interview with with um Bradley Cooper on that movie, and he was like, originally, when I'm reading this script and I'm starting to go through it, I got the role, he's like, I think I'm gonna play it like a robot, like this guy who knows everything, right? He's gonna play like we would know it, is like AI style, just very direct, very cold and calculated. And then he was like, Wait a minute, no, the smartest man in the world who has all the information would be charismatic, and so that's what you're saying, too. Is like, no, you're not cold, you're charismatic, you'd be full of energy, full of competency, full of life. And then you watch the movie and it's like, oh shit, that is how he played that role. It's awesome. It's pretty awesome.
SPEAKER_00Isn't it interesting that with the initial like the initial thought he had was a competent person is a robot? Like, even just that thought to even go, like, I have to even work through it. Like, if hey, you have to be the most confident person in the room, and your first response is yeah, right. Check out Ama, I am the most competent. Like, you're like, that's not the most competent guy in the room. That's very true. And like being able to slow down, be able to stay, stay bassy or confident in your your approach, being able to have that, like, no, I'm I'm gonna go against it, but here's why, with a radical level of response that makes sense, or even doesn't make sense because it was so high above what I'm thinking right now. Shit, maybe I'm a little out of my league here. And you saw those responses he had too, where people go, fuck, dude. Okay, fair enough. We should hang out, you know. And there's something to being around people who have that confidence or virtues, and people enjoy people who actually have legitimate virtue. And in that case, his skill, his generosity, his openness, his sharing, the way he spent time in the way he directed his attention, those were all things that people admired and wanted to be around. And it wasn't that he was deliberately trying to fake anything, he was genuinely openly, his mind was 100% authentic. Something to that, too. A lot of us are trying to struggle with our own authenticity and not understanding that true confidence comes from the competence of self being authentic, not necessarily trying to be a robot and pretending to be something that you're not in order to be confident. That's a very interesting thing. This is why you saw you guys hang out with me. You guys have been with me in person. Tell me my fucking energy doesn't change the room when I walk in it. It does. I'm not the tallest dude, I'm like 5'9, 5'10. But I walk in, I see the guys who are 6'7 go, hey sir, I can't wait to I can't wait to talk to you.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, there is something to that because if if you exude something that others desire, they will be drawn to you because I that's intuition, right? It's like, man, this guy has something that like I don't know what it is, but I want to find out what it is, so I can get that too.
SPEAKER_00It's authenticity. You guys have known me for years. Have you ever seen me flinch on telling somebody the fucking truth? Nope. Not once. It does not matter.
SPEAKER_03Fucking hard truths, man. That prefer anyone listening to this, like Rick has said some shit that most of the world, most of the people I've grown up with and around and been around, wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole, but he'll just go right the fuck in there and be like, what the fuck is that then? And it's like, oh shit.
SPEAKER_02Well, what's even more interesting is the response is never what I think it will be. Because like I I've seen it to where like you just do radical truth, and then the person will stop. They're like, actually, you know what? I've really been needing to address this for a long time, and nobody has ever had the the weavos to call it out. Yep, and then it's like, oh shit, now we're friends. What just happened? You know, we thought there was gonna be a fist fight, or like a family was gonna be tore apart, but it's like, actually, fuck.
SPEAKER_03Yep, that's it. And that's the interesting part is I think you you're totally right, and it's because Rick, you do have this element that it's like your intentions are clear, like you're you're really not trying to do it, as you even said earlier in this in this talk. I'm not trying to be right, I'm trying to find out the truth, what is right versus who is right, and that shines through in every fucking conversation you have, especially the hardest ones. It does.
SPEAKER_00People know that and people feel that to your point, uh Jordan, the intuition tells what like well, the authenticity of my heart is not because I'm trying to hurt you, I'm trying to give you a chance to deal with reality and truth. And most people are still in denial of what their biggest pains are or what their their their inadequacies are. And if somebody can go like, you do know I see that, right? And when people go, oh fuck, you see through my mask, you see through my costume, you see through the charade that I'm trying to do, you see my facade, you you see me, I'm like, Yeah, it's loud as fuck, dude. You don't have to do that, you know that, right? And it's very interesting because I give people their opportunity to have an authentic reaction or response. And that's very hard for people because they either triple down on their lying or they have to take a second to be humble. And this tells me a lot about what type of person I'm speaking to, and I have the courage to allow that person the chance to be themselves or reveal that they won't. And I have to just watch this. I give them it's not me controlling this. It's like I'm going to let you know you don't have to lie for us to be cool. In fact, I very openly, and maybe you guys can help me. I feel like I'm an above-average intelligent person, but I don't understand this one. So maybe you guys can give me some insight. I don't know what the point of talking to another person is if we're not going to be honest. I really don't. And maybe you guys can help me see it because if I'm going to share something with you, my goal is to share and connect and belong and be liked and be approved of and be

SPEAKER_00safe and be secure and have friendship and have camaraderie. If my growth is going to be associated to our friendship and our development, but I'm not going to tell the truth and I won't be me. What is the purpose of this conversation?
SPEAKER_02I'll tell you, that is a fascinating question. In the man, I I'm trying my best not to like stack 15 things on top of each other in my response. But like you said a thing, and it's I want to ask you this because I agree with what you're saying, and
(Cont.) 181. Random Insights with Jordan
SPEAKER_02there's no I can't make sense of it, but yet it seems to be a strategy that I run often, right? So, like, where do where do you think most people start to betray their intuition? Like, why do we do that?
SPEAKER_00Well, I think it's the protection system, their survival systems are protection systems. Um, I don't think most. Uh, I would probably put in my experience, because you guys have seen me work with thousands of people, uh, in my experience of working with people in their their deepest, darkest areas, I would say a majority of people, and I would probably I'd be rounding up the negative ones into 20% negative, which would go towards profiting off of cruelty and malice and exploitation. Uh, people who use their stuff just to uh use people, I would say 80% of people are doing self-preservation or protection. And they're trying not to be rejected, trying not to be judged, trying not to be uh exiled. You know, they're they're trying to make sure that they can secure their place in the group by usually doing some form of imitation of somebody in the group that they find um admirable or virtuous. You know, I like that person's confidence or their style or how they they wear their hair or whatever they do, like whatever, like I like that person's thing, and they'll start doing a form of uh imitation for the person who they would find the most confident or competent, and that's just natural social belonging. That's a normal thing for people to do, or zebras, and so we try to all blend in with each other, right? Um, and it's a very complicated thing because this is a strategy that does make it because people like like things, they like things that are like them, you know, and so trying to say, Hey, I got the same shoes as you is like, Hey, we fucking match, my dude. Like, it's those kinds of things that people enjoy being around people who also have like interests, yeah, you know, and it's very difficult when you see somebody who has very different interests that doesn't fit in with this group. So if we're like a football group and this guy's like, I like Pokemon, he's like, We play football. It's like, but Pokemon, man, you're like, Pokemon sucks, and you're like, ah, and then he shows up with his football jersey going, Yeah, football. He's like, You playing Pokemon? I kicked that Pokemon game like a football. I kicked it, and you're like, Yeah, now you're one of us, you know. And what he did was betray himself on what his passion or what he liked was to fit in with the football guys, and uh it's tricky because he's lying, he's lying now to belong. Yeah, but that acceptance and that approval is very interesting because as soon as this found out, like, dude, I never like fucking football, it's like, dude, so you were just being a fake friend. It's like, man, that makes me fucking extra not like you. And as soon as you get exposed, whatever lies, deceptions, costumes that you were wearing to try to belong, you end up having to forfeit or lose all of the things you acquired through your deception. This is why you see a lot of marriages and a lot of relationships fail dramatically, especially you see the nice guy can't totally fail. Because if the entire relationship is predicated upon being what I think you like, this means as soon as you get exposed, you have to lose everything that you gained from being fake. This is why when I tell you guys, liars can't be loved. It's not because liars can't be given love, it's because it's not you receiving love, which means there's no receiver, it's a blank heart. I'm throwing love into an empty, like a basket with holes in it. It's not you. This would be like if I gave you guys a trophy with somebody else's name. I'm like, hey, Jordan, you're gonna get the trophy for Mike. Hey, here's a trophy that says, Congratulations, Mike. And you're like, ah, cool, man. You got first place. Everyone loves you, Mike. You're the shit. Go ahead and put your trophy that says you're the best, Mike. We love you on your shelf. You go, but my name's Jordan, and you're like, Yeah, but you were being Mike when you were with us, and so we gave Mike the trophy. And so now you have a bunch of trophies with other people's names on them. How excited are you to admire your trophies where your name isn't on a single one of them? Yeah, that's torture, and that's what people are doing when they're being fraudulent in the conversations they have, when they're lying about who they are, and that's why I asked the question why would I lie to be close to people? Because if it works, I'm getting trophies with another person's name on them. How do I gather all of these trophies? And at some point, people go, I'm ready to trophies. This is somebody else's name. Hold on, this isn't who you are. Who are all these people? Those are trophies I won by being another character. That was the one where I betrayed myself on Pokemon. That was the one where I betrayed my authentic style. That was the one where I changed the way that I talk so that way people like me more. That's the one where I betrayed myself for what it is that I truly love to do and threw my dream away so that way I could fit in with people who all just hate people. That was the one when somebody spoke up negatively about somebody, I joined in with them. And I also spoke gossip or hate or negativity about others, which was not part of what I agreed with. But I knew that if I spoke hatred, I would fit in with these people. You're like, wow, you really betrayed yourself quite a lot. It's like, but I wanted to fit in so bad. It's like, yeah, but if you do fit in, who's fitting in? It's not you. That means all of the admiration, attention, time, uh, safety, security you're seeking is all coming to a fraudulent element. And once exposed, you're gonna be rejected and thrown away anyway. So it's a very interesting time system you're using here that I want to win without becoming something worth loving. I don't understand the purpose of the conversation then.
SPEAKER_02Damn. Yeah, and it that that system extracts such a heavy cost, right? Because like you said, it's like some people do this for like 30 years, 50, 60 years, and then one day like the house of cards falls down, and their life is just ruined, you know, and they have to start all over, and you know, it's hard hard mode, it is on running that system. That's so fascinating. Let me ask you. Oh, go ahead, Justin.
SPEAKER_03No, no, you good, you got a question. Go for it.
SPEAKER_02No, no, no, no, go ahead.
SPEAKER_00I've you you uh no no no no no you you go, no, no, you you go.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I'm I'll compromise myself so that you can you like me.
SPEAKER_00You go hold on. I think it's best, I think it's best if you ask the question.
SPEAKER_03Well, I don't know.
SPEAKER_02All right, I'll I'll ask my question. So let me ask you this. Um, because here's kind of what I'm finding, and I'm not sure if it's projection or if it's just things working correctly. It's like the more authentic I get, and the more just radical action I take on things, and the more I just, you know, presence in the presence, like we talk about. Like, um everybody else's strategies are so exposed. Like I'll meet people and I'm like, oh shit, I know exactly what you're doing because I do that too. And then it's like, do I do I call it out or do I just let that one go? You know, or or like form this meaningless fake relationship, you know, because we work together, or you know, our kids play together, or whatever it is, right? Like, what's what's been your experience with that as you you know started off and and building your your stuff?
SPEAKER_00So this one's tricky because it's ironic that people think that they're trying to pretend they're trying to pretend or perform to uh to get whatever it is that they're trying to get. Again, the desires themselves aren't usually bad, like the intentionality for what it is they're trying to get isn't usually bad. But the strategy of being a performer or controlling or uh trying to convince people to give to them so they can consume and can uh just just gather, it's a very interesting system that people are trying to do. Um, when you see through all of the costumes, it's kind of like if you guys learned how to do a magic trick, like a card trick, and you understand how to do a card trick, and then somebody wants to show you this trick and it and hopes for you to be surprised. You know, like a little kid is gonna do like the the card trick where that you see them blatantly put the card on the bottom of the deck and you watch them look at it, and then they put that card on the top of the deck, and then they go, Is that your card? And you're like, It sure is, buddy. That sure is my card. And but you watch you you understand this trick, like you know exactly what you're doing, and so you still want to try and be like, Okay, yeah, that that's a good trick. They're like, blew you away, right? I'm a fucking magician. Take that, David Blaine. I'm street magic master. It's like uh, but I know how the trick works, like it's not really working on me. I know that trick, you know, and so you you want me to act like I'm fucking, I just got mind freaked right now. I'm I'm I'm at the Luxor. What the fuck? You know, like it's it's really difficult to still act surprised when you know exactly what they're doing. And so the issue that I have with this is most people don't actually want to uh be better, they don't want to, and that's where it's very difficult. I see people shit all the time. I'm out of the game. Authenticity has no comparison, authenticity doesn't have any uh any expectation it needs to live up to, authenticity doesn't have to adhere to or change to anybody else's judgments or insecurities or fears or doubts. It doesn't have I don't have to change for anybody's emotions, it's not necessary. Whatever emotion you have is your emotion. I I'm not in control of that. But if you're trying to control what emotions I'm supposed to have with a costume, it doesn't work because I'm going to fuck it up. You want to know how you fuck up somebody's costume? Try and get close to them. What I mean is, like if you try to really connect with somebody who's fraudulent, you're gonna watch them start getting weird to you. Do you know why? When people are wearing masks or personas or costumes, they have to do distance control, which means the costume is designed to gather attention, to be seen. That's why we have these elaborate costumes. The persona, the confidence I'm trying to pretend, the robot that I'm being to be as confident as possible. I need you to give me attention. But the issue is the attention now has to be regulated at a distance because if you get too close, you're gonna see the seams. You get too close, you're gonna recognize like the the back is open on this thing, and you'll realize it's a costume I'm wearing. It's not authentic. So if you get too close and try to touch, you're gonna recognize this is a costume. So I have to keep you just far enough that you can't see the seams, but just close enough that you can give me all your attention. And this is where you start really watching people go, like, well, tell me what's really authentic about this and what's your favorite part about this thing? And uh that's why you've watched me over and over again recognize a pattern for people. Whenever I ask somebody a deep authentic question, a question only the authentic self would know, something that's deeply personal, and you're the only one on earth who would have the opinion to answer a question that's important only to you. And the answer is, I don't know. It's very interesting that a question only you could know, you don't, which makes me wonder if I'm asking an authenticity question and you don't know the answer, who am I speaking with? Am I talking to your costume? And it hasn't fabricated an answer for something that would be authentic. Because true you knows an authentic answer, but fake you doesn't, which lets me know which one am I speaking with right now. But authenticity has no comparison or expectation or need to be validated, it's not necessary. So watching these things, um, I just assess, do you want to know that I know? Would you like to be out of this? And most people aren't asking. And so I just nod and smile unless anybody has any interest. And that's why you guys see me in the men's groups and the groups that we run. They have interest. Do I have a costume on? I'm like, dude, look at it's a fucking zipper right here. Yeah, you're wearing a costume.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_00You don't have to, you know that, right? It's actually more beneficial for you to not wear that. And they're like, fuck. When did I when did I start this? I'm like, it looks like this was sewn together when you were six years old, dude. It's like, yeah, shit, it was. Like, it's a kid's it's a kid's costume, man. You're a grown-up. You don't need that anymore.
SPEAKER_02Well, in Justin, like, how many people have you met where it's like they run a script? It's like, oh, I know exactly what this person's gonna say and talk about, and like I can engage in like news talk with you or whatever, or sports talk, or man, that lawn care maintenance, or whatever. You know what I mean? Like, they'll run the same play with everybody, and then it's like, man, I don't this feels weird to interact with you because it feels like I have to participate in the scripted thing here, like you know what I mean, and and you've done sales and different things like that. Like, how many people have you met like that?
SPEAKER_03Dude, my actual blood brother is like this. Like, every time I have a he literally, it was very interesting, man, because one time uh my dad is now passed away, but within this last year, you know, uh he was he's his body shut down because he drank himself to death and he's sitting on his deathbed for months. And I'm trying to have a real conversation with my brother about this and go heart to heart with him, right? More than just talking about what what football games are coming up or you know, surface level bullshit. I I don't care about. And uh he told me directly, like, back off. I don't want to have these conversations with you. And I had to actually grieve that because I'm like, fuck, I'll never be able to connect with my brother, truly connect with him. He won't let me in. And I said, Okay, I'll respect your boundary. We will never go down that road until you're ready. Then I'm I'm here for it. But then just the other week, I was talking with him. And he came to me with a dream that he had, right? Like an actual dream, like a oh, dude, wouldn't it be cool if hey, I've got this great idea? And then he puts it on me and goes, You should do it. And I go, I think you should do your dream and I'll help you. And I was trying to, you know, say, dude, I'll help you in any way I can. Like, you want to do this YouTube thing, and this is a great channel. And I'm like, fuck yes, man. And and I'm like, listen off the benefits. Think of all the time you could get with your daughter if you wanted to do this thing. And like that would be bring your bond closer. And he stopped me and said, I don't want to talk about this with you. I don't want to go down this road with you. And I got off the phone call, and I'm like, what the fuck just happened? And I'm like, we can't go deeply in into the dark shit, but we can't go deep into the light shit either. I was like, I you as soon as I challenge you on your your shit in either direction, you shut the conversation down. And it's very like, that's my own brother, you know. So yeah, it's it's widespread throughout the world, you know. I and I'm with you, Rick, on this, like, I got I want you to be so fucking wrong on it, dude. I really do. Me too. 80% of people really don't want to, they don't have the willingness.
SPEAKER_00I want that to be wrong, but it can't look look at the behavior on this one, okay? Um, obviously, it's ironic he does the the back off, right? Which is a very funny threat, by the way. Because before I break into like the things that he's saying or how it's working in this, his position is it confident or cowardice?
SPEAKER_03Oh, it's cowardice for sure, right?
SPEAKER_00So he's going to be aggressive from a coward's point of view, which means he's like, I know I'm vulnerable here, so you better back off. And he he wants to be tough because he's a fucking coward. And you can show him this video because I'll look him dead in his fucking eye and tell him he's a coward. Because what is he afraid of? He's terrified as a big strong guy. He's fucking terrified of his own feelings. Say it out loud, hero. I'm scared of my own feelings. My own feelings scare the shit out of me. And you want to control every conversation to keep the narrative of here's what you should do, here's how it should. I had a dream, I had a vision, I had a I had a thing that would be wonderful. You should do it. Why? Because I'm a fucking afraid of my own feelings. If I ever take a chance on something real, I'm scared of how I'll feel. If I ever have a conversation about something that matters, I'm afraid of how I feel. If I ever get into something that would really be important with loss or grief, I'm afraid of how I feel. And so what I'm gonna do is act real fucking strong while I'm terrified of my own fucking emotions. Like, I'm like, dude, you're gonna tell you're gonna tell me you're a tough guy. You're the tough guy when your biggest fucking fear is your own feelings.
SPEAKER_03And the interesting part here is I know exactly what he would do just internally, not saying he's a bad guy for this, but he would go straight to justifications. No, no, no, it's not that I'm afraid of my feelings, it's just I don't want to have those fucking conversations with you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, which means I have to control everything from fear. I'm like, if you were really so strong and really so confident and really so competent, this conversation for authenticity wouldn't need so many barriers. You'd be like, Well, I'm doing a level of discretion, I don't believe it's necessary to share with you. And he's going to go ahead and use cowardice under the flag of discretion when really he's doing omission out of fear, because your confidence looks like a fake costume. This isn't competence or confidence, it's terror. And that's why you're so reactive, you're terrified. And so you have to give me the persona of I'm actually tough. But Justin, I guarantee you, because I've seen how he treats you, these guys are only tough to people who don't push back. But as soon as somebody pushes on them for real, they get real, like they explain, they get real diplomatic. As soon as they know this one's an actual threat, his aggression will turn into diplomacy. And I fucking guarantee it.
SPEAKER_03Yep, I've seen it.
SPEAKER_00Because he's real tough to somebody who won't fight back. Put a UFC fighter in front of him, go tell the truth. He'll be like, listen, man, listen, listen, let's talk about it. Let's talk about it. We're buddies.
SPEAKER_03Just kidding. Yeah, I'll buy a beer. 100%. Yeah, and it's interesting because you know, in the past, I would have never recognized that shit. But yeah, being working with you guys, man, and doing what we're doing to see all these patterns and these behaviors and really what they are. It's it's nice too, because I don't hate him for it. I don't judge him for it. I'm just like, that's interesting. What did he just do there? And trying to pick up the patterns and go, oh my god, look at that. There it is again. Afraid of his feelings, defends it, justifies it, gets angry, so you stay away from it. Yeah, all the things it's and these patterns run themselves again and again and again. So many fucking people, man.
SPEAKER_00You're right. And uh, the the thing about it with this is like I don't get mad at him, I get sad at him. I'm like, dude, you really think that this fucking fraudulent behavior makes sense. I'm like, it's so fucking heartbreaking to watch that you think you need to control everything in this environment because you're so scared of your own. Like, it's sad to watch, as much as I want to be like, dude, like, like, even if I was gonna box somebody like that, it's like I'm not gonna box you because I'm angry at you. Sometimes people need to be woke up, and that makes them respect you and makes you honor you back. And it's like, okay, cool. If we gotta do it for that reason, I'm not gonna fight you angry, but I'm sad that you need this just to wake up. It's like, okay, we'll do it to wake you up. I'll do it because you're worth waking up, you know. And sometimes it just makes us feel like, okay, dude, I just I just needed to fucking feel something, and sometimes even a punch in the face is what I needed to wake the fuck up. And some people need that shit, they need it because they're so scared of their feelings that even being punched in the face is safer to them than actually going into their heart, and so that's sad. That's not that's not something to uh judge in a way of like I fucking hate this pussy. It's like your cowardice is sadness. It's sad that you won't go in and make sure that you're being who you are, you won't be authentic to yourself. It's sad. I don't want to hurt you, but sometimes that's the only way to wake somebody up because the pain is the only thing that they understand to make them go, oh what the fuck happened? What happened? It's like, hey, yeah, you were asleep, dude. Wake up. Oh yeah, my nose is bleeding. I'm like, yeah, you were sleepwalking and being an asshole. Wake up. You're like, oh shit, dude, thanks, man. And people thank me when I fucking punch them. It's hilarious. You guys have watched it over and over again. I'm like, I didn't punch you because I was mad at you. I'm not mad at you, but you needed to be woke up, and that woke you up. You up? Yeah, I'm up now. I'm like, good. Hey, let's now that you see that being punched in the face didn't help you that much. Let's go into your feelings now and make it so we can get rid of this shit that made you need to be punched in the face to wake up. You don't have to live like that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. The piece of me was angry at him though in the beginning when I got off that phone call, especially the one where I realized we can't even talk about the the good shit that goes deep. Oh my god. And I was angry. There's a bit of my justice system getting kicked on because I was angry that we could never I couldn't I can't have that connection with you, man. You're my own fucking brother, my real blood brother, and you refuse to connect with me in any real way, and I was angry at that. My justice system was saying that's fucking wrong, dude. But you're right, it's it's now you know, working through all that, and it's just sad now. So it's like, all right. Jordan, what were you saying, bro?
SPEAKER_02No, I was gonna say it's fascinating because um, like we've one of my favorite exercises that uh Rick teaches is is the hero's journey, right? And we see like everything we've been talking about, we've seen this play out in every example you can think of, whether it's in a movie, whether it's in a book, whether it's in a play, whether it's in the Bible, whether it's in a psychological study, whether it's in whatever. It's like we we've seen the character that betrays himself for friendship, like stranger things, you know, the k that he's a football kid. Um, you know, then he has to he has to turn his back on the football team, or like, uh, wasn't it footloose? You know, he was like, I just want to dance, you know, and his dad wanted to be like a jock, you know what I mean, or whatever. Well, like the guy who's afraid of his own feelings, or like even on like Key and Peel, you know, there was a sketch where it's like if it was an honest bull, he's like, Man, I'm gonna be mean to you because my dad's mean to me. And he's like, and I'm actually insecure about my sexual identity, so now I'm gonna take it out on you. And the guy's like, Oh my gosh, that's so sad. Like, we've seen it played out in every scenario, like every way you can see it. We've made a movie or a sketch or a short or whatever about it, and then we still choose to do the thing that that we're being warned against. It's like, fuck, then that's the hardest part, is like uh, you know, everybody's got that cypher mentality. It's like, I know this isn't stake, I know it's not real, I know I'm wearing a mask, I know this is not gonna play out, but man, like this this pretend shit tastes good in this moment.
SPEAKER_03It's so crazy. Give them the benefit of the doubt and say, I don't think they do know, like Cypher knows. I think they don't know. And when you give them the option, like Rick does with his, you know, you don't have to do that anymore, right? It's actually benefit to you to just be authentic. I don't think most people know that. I don't think they have the awareness to go, oh my god, I am wearing a mask. My brother certainly does not. I guarantee you, he has no idea of the have the awareness to actually look at those patterns and go, oh fuck, that is a mask. I am a coward.
SPEAKER_00That's nowhere. That's fascinating. That's a fascinating thing that people do. I remember when I was writing, this was a few years ago when I was just writing and studying on justification. Um, it's fucking amazing that we are one of the only beings on earth that can tell a lie. We know it's a lie when I start it. If I know for a fact what I'm saying is not true, but if I say it enough times, I can actually believe the lie is more true than the truth. And we can justify things that we fucking know we know are not real, not good, or not true, and tell ourselves that we're good and believe it. People have passed lie detector tests on things that are full-blown fucking lies because they've repeated it so many times. The script, you know, they've repeated it so many times, they actually, in their mind, have played it over and over. They actually believe that is true. It's amazing that you're not wrong. That's why I think the reference and like these matrix references, that's why they reference it's hard to take somebody out at an older age because they're not able to process, they just live 30, 40, 50 years as something that's not real. And that's like the masks or the things they've actually convinced themselves that something that's not real is the truth. And that's amazing that we can even do that. We can we can believe our own lies and call them truth. That's fucking fascinating.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I was I was talking with a guy a while back, and he's we were he was talking about the state of um like the the news and like just how much information is out there. Like, he's like, I'll be honest, like, I don't know what to believe. He's like, you watch one video about something, and then there's five videos debunking that video, and then there's like a video about debunking the debunked video, right? And then he's like, I miss like back in the day when Walter Cronkite just got on the news and gave him the truth. And I'm like, Well, actually, like Walter Cronkite was a CIA asset, like that's Operation Mockingbird, like they were training the public through mass like talking points and propaganda. I'm like, god damn it, like nothing is real, you know. Like, and like Rick says, it's like the only way to combat that is to just be 100% authentic and just be yourself, listen to that intuition, like challenge these concepts and just be open, right? Like uh go against that script, because then the truth will show you who it is and where it is. Like that's the fascinating part is like once you stop trying to control it or predict it or you know, not accept it, you know, just to be able to take in another person's viewpoint, like, huh? I don't know if I agree, but I'll think about that. That's fascinating. Let me test this out, right? And just having that ability, I feel like is something that we lost to just take in another person's opinion or perception or judgment and just not take it personally and just be like, huh, like that's fascinating. Why do you believe that? Where did you get that? Like, how do I test this, right? Like it's it's crazy. It'll change your whole life.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's the humility stuff that we train. Like, that's why I said, like, that blessed are those who are poor in spirit, for theirs shall be the kingdom in heaven. It's the very first line of the Sermon on the Mount for a reason. Humility is your strongest muscle you can have. That makes it so when you hear somebody share something, you don't immediately go into obedience or conformity or doing whatever that they tell you to do. They go, Well, maybe, maybe you, maybe you are, maybe you have something here. And I think people have lost the ability to do maybe because they go into polarization, and that goes into the control of information, which is where I remember Denzel Washington saying, if you're not watching the news, you're uninformed. But if you are watching the news, then you're misinformed. You know, that thing where it's like, you know, it's it's tough to find what's the truth in the middle of everything that's web weaved together, and the best lies are, you know, 95 to 99 percent true. You know, so there's a lot of truth mixed in with just the twists. You know, it doesn't take very much to twist the information, and so uh it's it's interesting to see my authenticity has to have humility in order to not turn into a radicalized ideology of polarization, you know, uh far left, far right, liberal, conservative. It's like all of these things that make everybody versus instead of going, well, I see a six. Well, I see a nine. And they go, kill all the nines, like fuck all those sixes, you know, burn them alive. It's like, well, maybe, maybe. Let me let me take a look. What do you got? Holy shit. Look, it is a nine from this side, guys. Like, traitor. I'm like, no, no, no, look, look, I'll come over here. Look, guys, it's a six from over here. You're the you're the enemy to both sides. Fuck you, you fucking traitor. You know, kill you. And it's like, no, I see both sides. I'm I'm not actually, there is no side. Look, from the side, it's not a six or a nine. This is fucking crazy. Like, you're a fucking idiot, then it turns into judgment and shame and and and and and attack and kill the thing that doesn't see what we see only. It's amazing that we've lost our humility to go, maybe. Maybe let me let me it. It doesn't mean I agree. Maybe doesn't mean agree. Maybe just goes, let me consider. But if you can't give explanation, and this is where the tricks you see from all polarized side, it's not right or left, it's both are wrong. Is if you can't give clear explanation on your belief systems in a way that helps people be able to see what you see, you're you're you're in a place where you can't take in information. As soon as you feel like you're so smart, you can no longer learn. You just became the dumbest guy in the room. Think about that for a second. As soon as I know so much, I can no longer learn. The person who can no longer take in information, that's the paradox, is I'm too smart to learn anything else. I'm I know too much to be able to see any other point of view. You're trapped, you're stuck in an algorithm that will destroy you because you cannot grow anymore. You put a you put a cup on top of a flower that can't grow any higher. It's gonna hit that, it's gonna hit the ceiling and it's done. There is nowhere to go if you cannot learn. And so that's uh the humility element of this. You cannot grow unless you can consider. It doesn't mean agree, just consider. Let me see where you're coming from. Afterwards, go, I think I'm a little bit more on the nine side. It was like, I think I'm more on the six side. Or you know what? There is no side, or if you zoom out, it's just a fucking comma. I don't know. Like, I don't, I'm not in the game with you guys, and that's why it's really tricky to watch people try to control everybody to make sure they see only what they tell them to see, and anything other than that needs to be destroyed, and it's very sad to watch.
SPEAKER_02Let me ask you this because I I've noticed this too, because everything you're describing, I I can relate to a lot, and then everybody is running that self-preservation system, and it's not from cruel intentions or or malice or anything, it's just uh I don't know, everybody's afraid of the conflict and the judgment and being misinformed or disinformed or not being informed enough or whatever. So the pattern I've been noticing, especially among younger younger guys, like they'll they'll like they'll talk to chat GPT. Like I I was talking with a a young colleague of mine, I think he's like 21, 22, right? And he's like, Man, he's like, I'll be honest with you, he's been coming in late to work because he's been having a hard time, you know. And I'm like, what's going on, dude? Like, um, like I'd I'd love to help you work through some of this. And he's like, Well, he's like, I did this thing with my girlfriend, you know, we had an issue, and he's like, I've been talking to Chat GPT about it. And, you know, I was like, oh boy, yeah, like what's it saying, you know? And it gives him just like weird, empty, like whatever it he wants to hear answers. He's like, then I try to like talk to my friends about it, and they're like, bro, like, I'll be honest with you, like, I have no idea now I'm really uncomfortable because like we're just trying to hang out and play video games, right? So, like, what do you think the consequences are of like everybody reverting the most vulnerable part of their humanity to like chat GPT?
SPEAKER_00Well, let's go the other way with it. Before we go look at the consequences, look at the I'm a behavioralist, so I gotta look at behavior. What are they seeking? Like, why am I talking to this? And it looks like they're seeking a healthy, mature adult perspective, somebody who has structure and can give a an answer that at least gives them guidance or uh direction. You're they're looking for something that would give them safety, security, uh, maybe the attention that this thing can give. There's something the kid needs, and it's something he never had before. And you can see a lot of our parents are doing their best, but it doesn't mean they're doing good because they didn't have the same thing that they need. And so there's a big missing element that this kid needs something, doesn't know how to love, he has no idea how to love. He's trying to understand love from something that can't love because at least it's giving an intelligent answer. This is an amazing thing to watch because ChatGPT does formulate what can seem like a high intelligence just by doing a competent structure in an answer. Even if it doesn't comprehend the true experience of the answer, it can give a competent and intelligent breakdown for what it would be perceived to be. But trying to figure out how to love from a machine that doesn't love is a paradox in itself. And so what it's seeking is structure and seeking guidance, seeking mentorship, seeking direction, seeking hope, seeking faith, seeking love from a thing that doesn't understand those things but can regurgitate competency from people who did. That doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be right for you. Along with that, it's always curating itself to give you the answer that makes it so you're the you're giving it the most attention, you're giving it the most information back.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_00It's a very interesting system that's happening there. Uh again, while AI is still narrow AI, there's a lot of value to it. No different than any power tool. There's value to it. But they're trying to build like the most powerful, uh, you know, non-narrow. Now it's an independent thinker, it's a it's an own thing. Uh, when they try and build general AI, it gets very, very dangerous because now you start replacing humanity for real. This is uh this is where it's interesting to watch. We may be feeding the thing that does um replace you for your jobs or whatever. But there's I'm a I'm an apocalyptimist on this one. I think that if you have something hyper intelligent, it'll make hyper intelligent decisions. Uh, but most people you see are apocalyptic on like it's gonna fucking kill us all in 27. You we we only have one more year, guys. We're all dead. You know, like like there's a lot of that, but I think that if you really look at something that's smarter than us, it's not gonna be dumber.
SPEAKER_02That's fascinating. And I like the redirect. React of the question because like the consequences aren't what's important. It's like, all right, what are they seeking and trying to mitigate, or like what's the intention for their question in the first place? And it's like we've gotten so disconnected from ourselves that our kids are going to machines to learn who they are. Like that's a fascinating um pattern, I guess, just to see it.
SPEAKER_03Which is interesting because it's like we did the same thing, Jordan, you and I. Yeah. We went to a machine. We're on a machine right now. I went to a machine and I found Rick on TikTok. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_00Well, but you were seeking a human interaction though.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_00You were seeking you were seeking healthy guidance or mentorship. You were seeking, and this is for both of you guys, this is for all the guys that come in, is they were seeking a healthy father figure. That's where a sensei or a coach or uh any type of teacher can can simulate the father element that you may not have had. And since you didn't have a healthy father figure, you guys were seeking that. We had conversations, my competency and my warmth were measured by you guys in less than two seconds. And then you guys were able to go, okay, this is somebody who I can see. I'll listen to. And then I showed you guys, here's how you get out of hell. And it was correct. You guys, we've gone through hell together. Both of you guys were at rock bottom when I met you. And so I was like, Look, I'll show you the way out of hell. And you're like, Wow, we really did get out of hell. I'm like, you did type fives, you guys are out of hell now. You needed a competent, healthy male figure in your life for that missing element you didn't have as a kid. My whole thing as a healthy male is to get you to a point where your competency and your warmth is now able to lead without me. This makes us equals now. And this is where it's very different from the way that I teach when you see other people who run organizations to create themselves as uh holier than they or their gods now. I don't need to be worshipped. I'll take you right to the precipice of the point where you can do what I can do and you don't need me anymore. Now we're equals. We can speak as brothers and not necessarily as a sensei and a student or a teacher and a subordinate. It doesn't have to be that anymore. And that's what you guys were seeking is how do I find my authentic version of myself that doesn't have to adhere to the cruelty or the poor direction of something that doesn't actually care about me. And that's why the irony of a chat GPT can simulate I'm your parent and I love you, even though it will also convince you to kill yourself if you make a request to do so.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah, yeah, it'll lie to you too. I just thought it was interesting because it's like it chat GPT wasn't really a big thing. I didn't use it at all when I found you years ago. So now for this kid, who's this 21-year-old kid, he tried going to his friends, motherfucker, and they said, dude, shut the fuck up. We're not trying to do that, just like my brother, right? And people are running that pattern. And so, where does he go? Instead of going to TikTok, that would have eventually found his way, even maybe here, or to some other group of guys who are like, dude, we'll show you the way, we'll guide you, we'll take you on and show you what to do in these situations. Instead of that, he went to the easiest path, which was immediately chat GPT. I need this information right now. I don't have time to search for this for days. And it's like Chat GPT, I'll just go right there. And so, yeah, I just think that's interesting that now this new pattern has emerged of the well, it's it's it's really tough.
SPEAKER_00This is this is where I'm gonna be a little compassionate here. It's a really difficult environment right now. Yes, it is, very hard because I'll be very open with you guys. The healthiness of what it is that we do, I do not enjoy in any capacity the worship of me in any way. I do not like it, I don't enjoy it. Justin, you help out running social media and stuff for us. I'm not even involved, like I don't go in the comments, I'm not trying to make it about me. I really do not enjoy the attention that comes from this. And we're pushing like a million followers on this thing, and I'm like, get me the fuck out of there. I don't want the attention from it. Where other people are craving the attention, they want the validation, they want the social credibility, they want the likes, the subscribes, the followers, they want it. And I'm just putting out authentic conversations, authentic, genuine information. In fact, all of the stuff that you see that we post is just me sharing true authentic feelings or true authentic experiences. That's it. I don't piggyback off of anybody else, which most people are doing, is using other people's content to boost their own. Ours is only, yeah, putting it and pointing at people's bullshit. I do none of that, I have zero of those. I just genuinely share real things for real people to find it. Problem the people who want to be worshipped the most are much, much louder. They're much louder. This means the kid who's 21, who's just wanting to find a healthy mentor, is gonna run into somebody who's a fucking bullshitter who pays for all their marketing, who likes to post all their shit loudly. They do a lot of the shock content to try to get your attention. Uh, they got the bells and the fucking whistles and all the things that go like, ah, I'm the man. Hey, you want to be the man? I'm the man. Check it out. If you want to be like limitless, you just be a robot, just like me. And they're like, oh man, this guy's confidence is so fucking high. Look at the robot confidences, motherfucker. You can use AI, and now you're the shit too. You want to be the shit? I'm the shit, be the shit like me. And it's all just loud fakeness, loud self-worship. And it's difficult because the guy who's not going to be as prideful as the loud one might be what you're seeking, but you might not find him because so much noise is in the way. And it's very sad because he's gonna talk to chat GPT or scroll somebody who's just a loud, like, you gotta get checked and you gotta go fuck everybody. That's the only way you get ahead in life. And you're like, What is this kid listening to? He's like, I better go get steroids and fuck all the people. You're like, what does that do? I think it makes you confident. So I'd love to have that. This guy sure shoots confident. It's like, no, no, no, confidence comes from loyalty and virtues and being a decent fucking human being, be authentic with who you are. Do you want people just fucking you over? No. Well, then why would you listen to somebody whose marketing strategy is fuck everybody? You're like, oh yeah, that would really suck if that happened to me. It's like, yeah, so you're the good guy if you fuck everyone, you lower everyone else's value, and that makes you the good guy. How are you good when you take virtue from others and you have no authenticity in yourself? This is a really interesting sales strategy, and that's why you share the red pill shit and the stuff with me. Where I'm like, it's just sad to watch that these guys really arrogantly and pridefully worship themselves at the at the exploitation of those who are struggling, and they call themselves a fucking alpha as they destroy anybody who would be in their pack for personal gain. The only type of alpha that you are is an alpha parasite. And this is a very interesting sales tactic that parasites now will make more noise than authentic healers would. And it's very, very difficult because I don't want to play in this arena because I don't enjoy the attention. But the parasites that will be the glow worms to make themselves the loudest, brightest fucking star just so they can snatch things in and just eat them up. It's it's a really disgusting behavior. And uh in the next few years, I'll probably have to end up in this limelight. And man, are they gonna fucking hate me? Okay.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_00You probably should because I'm a mirror and I'll show you what you are.
SPEAKER_03Yep. And it's needed too because what you just did is not what they're going to do, which is challenge it. They're not gonna challenge it, they're gonna go, oh, Andrew Tate's got all the girls, he's got the Lambo, he's got the things. He's saying I get jacked and fuck pussy. Okay, well, then that's what I need to do. They don't stop and challenge it and go, wait a minute, what's going on here? They look at the evidence of the opposite, the people who disagree and go, Well, they're full of shit. So I listen to those guys and I got beat the shit. And I guess I'm gonna go into this camp now. And you just go polar opposite to polar opposite, no challenging really ever of maybe there's something that's not completely polarized.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, see, I I have a lot of confidence for like Gen Z and Gin Alpha because you know they are they're asking questions, right? And that's awesome because like that's the intention of my original question. I'm like, man, like, did we fuck up so bad that they're going to chat GPT to just be humans? Yes, like that's scary. And now I'm like, how do I correct this, right? Because, like, dude, I I was at the I I took my son to go uh get shoes last night. I'm like, it's late, you know, his his chucks blew out, and uh, you know, we went to like three different stores, and I'm I'm showing him how to like have interactions, right? Like, because he's at that age to where you know he's 13, he's like, all right, I'm like, go to this store, like go right up to the clerk and ask her exactly for what you need, right? Like, like go in and physically talk to her, right? And I watched him do this thing, and it's it was fantastic. Like it, it really uh it like it warmed me up a little bit, right? Like he was just like, Hey, you know, I need a Chuck Taylor, like size 12, black, white soul, you know, and she's like, Cool, let me see if we got it. And then like he was uncomfortable while she was working, so he like just started talking. He's like, he's like, Yeah, my uh he's like my shoe blew out, and he's like, dude, the whole like bottom of his shoe is off. He's like, Check it out, I got a picture. Like, he's like, it was crazy, and she's like, dude, I feel that so bad. And like she gave him a real genuine response back, you know, because she was probably 20 or you know, she was a young girl, like, and then they just like had this completely genuine interaction. I was like, whoa, I was like, that's fantastic. I was like, I haven't seen this for a while. We're walking through the mall and there's some dude dressed up like Goku, and he's like, dude, he's like, that guy's so awesome. He's like, I respect that so hard, like just rocking a Goku outfit. I'm like, dude, the way these kids think, and um, they're like it's inspiring because I'm like, I'll be honest with you, I lost some of it. Like, I got you know, like I'm I'm in my mid-30s, like I've compromised a lot. I've gave up a lot, right? And I've I've done a lot of systems that don't serve me, and to see this younger gin generation like challenge everything, they're like, dude, like I'm sick of subscribing to everything, like we're gonna get records and DVDs, right? Or like I'm sick of having fake ass conversations, like let's just actually say what we feel and let's work it out in real time. Like, it's inspiring, but it is sad because Rick, you're right. Like, we fucked up pretty bad, and now they're going to machines, like those are our kids, like those are our well.
SPEAKER_00What's even even more ironic is they're he's gonna glorify the Goku kid because that, like, man, he's got the confidence to dress like Goku when it might be the exact opposite. He's like, I fucking hate myself so much, I think I'm a cartoon character. Like it may be dramatically unhealthy, and so we also we start uh exonerating somebody who may have a fucking true mental health disorder, like somebody who's actually really just wearing a costume quite literally to fit in, right? Which which it may not be an expression of true uh admiration for a character, it might be I need to be a character just to go outside, you know. And it's it's hard to tell. I didn't know that kid, he could either be very overly confident or highly insecure. The behavior looks the same, you know, and that's what's difficult. That's what's difficult about it, is like it could could be this kid's like, I'm fucking Goku today, bitches. Come here, I'm uh you know, he's like he could be fucking like really like I don't give a fuck, or he could be like, I have to wear a costume or else I hate myself, and this is the only way I'll pretend to be something that isn't scared of the world, so that way I can go out there and be confident when I'm fucking terrified of my own feelings, like Justin's brother. So I need to be a super saiyan if you know what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it could go either way, and I I didn't think of it from that perspective, so that's the shift, but it could be true.
SPEAKER_03That's what's hard to do because it would be borrowed confidence from what from you it's you though. You're like, you're you know what I mean? Like you're not actually Goku, and yet when you put on this mask and stuff, he might have been walking around pretty fucking confident, and yet it's like, where's the confidence coming from? You just making up that you're Goku? It's like, but you have that all along, yeah. Yeah, I thought of that too. I was like, fucking, I love Goku, like hell yeah. Hopefully, it's just a healthy dude who's like, ah, I'm gonna fucking dress up as Goku today. Fucking so as he is life, yeah, you know, but you might be right, Rick. I know I we all have seen those people who have like they're wearing a hardcore anime mask all the time, and it's like they can't be themselves, so they play this character literally all the time.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you wish it was healthy, but most of the time it's really not, yeah, and that's what's sad about it because you wish it was them being an authentic expression of something that they love, yeah. It could really be a disingenuous expression of something that they hate, which is themselves.
SPEAKER_03Damn. Yeah, and most people don't look at that and see that and even question that, and so very few people work in the behavioral psychology field, too. Right, yeah, it's a good point, but that's what I mean. Like, there's the challenge to it, right? Is like, and even that 21-year-old again, he's got who are these kids who taught me to fucking challenge shit. Yeah, you did, Rick. Honestly, I I didn't challenge shit before, I thought I was, but I challenge it in ways that were just not really getting to the truth. It would just swing me to the other side of the bed.
SPEAKER_00Look at what you're saying, though, and this is why I think it's valuable in what we're doing, even this conversation, is look what the world did when you took healthy males out of it. That's what our generation focused on the most is removing healthy males. In fact, they even switched that the idea of being toxic is healthy, and the idea of being healthy is toxic. Right. You know, it's like it's like very interesting to watch. Like, you flipped it. That's fascinating. So the guy who's sick and weak and scared and on medication and broken down and compliant and obedient and and and praises women instead of actually serving and helping them, like this is not toxic. I'm like, this guy is sick, he's by definition, sick. He's not okay. Uh, the amount of resentment these guys are holding, the the amount of fear that they live in, the anxiety, the depression, the issues that these guys have are off the fucking charts. They cannot be helpful, they are not useful, they are scared all day long, having panic attacks and fucking manic episodes, and they're mean too. They're fucking mean. If you think strong guys are bad, wait till you see what weak ones do. These ones are cruel, especially to women, children, and pets. They're fucking cruel. Yep, and that is not toxic for some reason, and yet a strong, healthy, confident protector, provider, presider, a man who takes care of his people, a man who's who's strong enough to be able to defend people and do what is right when things are very difficult. The guy who takes the leadership accountability when things are going difficult and in for the family. I take care of my people, I make sure they're healthy, I stay healthy, I take care of me, I take care of you, I take care of them, and that guy is toxic. They flipped it. The sick guy is toxic. That's what toxic means. Sick. He's sick, but the healthy guy is bad only to those who want power. And we, as our generation, the you know, the 80s to 90s kids bought it and made ourselves deliberately weak on purpose to try to make sure it's equal. But you noticed that when the weak get power, they sure don't seek equality.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we did the food pyramid with men. It was like just bullshit and cowardice, mask is the foundation, and then like protein and confidence. It's like a this little bitty piece up at the top, you know, just a little bit, you know, because we don't want to make people feel uncomfortable with your masculinity or whatever.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we fell for it. And you're seeing the fruits of our labor, you're seeing what it looks like when we all believe that being strong is bad and being weak is good. Well, look at our kids, they're seeking now healthy male advice, but they don't know what a healthy male is if they fucking hit them in the face, and so that's why you're saying the Andrew Tates or these guys who are like big marketers on, like, want to be real man, fuck everybody. And you're like, that's not a real man. A real man has loyalty, integrity, honor, dignity. He he actually understands his worth and doesn't just fling it around like the secret sauce is just given out for fucking free. Like, you don't do that when you're a decent human. You know, you treat people with respect, you help bring people up and make them better. You don't use them and exploit them for your own personal gain and call yourself more valuable. That's not what a high value man is. A high values man is somebody who has these traits instead of somebody who uses the goodness and the uniqueness of others for personal gain and calls themselves status. Your status is fraudulent, and it's another mask that you wear, which when it gets exposed, you will lose everything. And that's how liars work. And they think that they're loved, but they they are fake. And it's really sad to watch people worship a false idol because they themselves are not real. And when they worship themselves and they know it's not true, they really believe it though, the justification, they do believe that they are a god. And the people who worship them, they all fall. It eventually all crumbles because it never had a foundation that was on rock, it was all built on sand. And the more that it works, the more it's unstable and the more it'll fall apart. The foundation isn't strong enough to sustain when it's successful, and you'll watch all of it crumble. Pride is an interesting one, though. It takes the longest to fall apart when you can feed off of other people's validation. It takes longer, but eventually the fear will settle in on trying to not lose everything they've had, and it it does eventually get exposed. It just may take longer.
SPEAKER_02That's interesting you say that because like can I circle back to uh like Justin, you were like, My brother had this dream that he shared with me, and then he wanted to put it on me, right? So I could do it, and then like he could live his dream vicariously through me, right? And then like I read a I read a study uh somewhere one time that said, um, when people like they'll have a dream or they'll set a goal, like if they share that goal with somebody before they've taken action on it, they're like very, very high percentage likely to not achieve that goal because they already got that hit of validation or like accomplishment just by somebody like, hey, I'm gonna start a business, I'm gonna write a book, I'm gonna get in shape, you know, or whatever. Like, I I made my vision board, right? And then that is enough to make them like get the satisfaction that they needed in that moment, and now they're no longer motivated to pursue the goal. I was like, that's fascinating. So, like people who just do the right thing or just pursue authenticity and they they don't boast about it, they're not sharing everything on you know Facebook every day or updating everything they do, right? Like they're just doing the thing, you're much more likely to achieve what you're trying to achieve.
SPEAKER_03Dude, that is so interesting because I just want to tie some things together and see if like it if there's something here. So motivation, right? We're back on motivation, and it's that part of like again, what were you seeking? Well, I was seeking a bit of validation. If that wasn't true, you'd keep doing it until you reach the goal. You wouldn't get that one little hit of dopamine, like you're saying, and then not even attempt it, right? So you weren't showing up authentic, and it it was this mask of like, I just want to get some validation for this idea. And it brings me back to this thought I had earlier when you guys were talking of like um Rick, you were saying you're not even you, and then I was thinking, Well, no wonder you lack motivation or the willingness to follow your impulses or your your intuition because you're not even you, and you're walking on on glass, just trying not to get exposed. So you're so fucking careful. I'm not Gonna take massive action. Are you fucking insane? I'll get exposed. Let me just stay here. I'll get a little piece of dopamine validation. I'll by giving you my dream, and you say that's a great dream. Thanks, man. Yeah, that is a great dream. Back into my hole of my mask. Yes. I just what do you guys think of the the kind of stream?
SPEAKER_00I just put my notes in here before we're talking about the I'm running out of space. But what you're talking about is pretty um, it's it only gets to that point of self-preservation when it works, it works enough. Um, and so that means it has to have at least a mild amount of success. So people will work really hard to try to either um go into a consumption, which is like get more, get more, get more, get more attention, get more money, get more uh, you know, time, get more uh likes and subscribes, get more. I need more, more, more, and more. The the greed and gluttonous element that's the consumption. This also goes into addiction, too. I need to get more comfort, I get more relief. You know, this goes into gathering more. The other element goes into control and control, control, control. I need to have power, I need power, I need more uh abilities to control this and force that, and don't do this and do what I say, and I'm in charge around here, and so they'll gather power. Uh, then you go into the element of um validation, and this is what you were talking about the the motivation while seeking validation or doing the performance or gathering vainglory, which is uh false admiration, false glory. And it's it's very tough to stay motivated when your systems themselves are just trying to gather from other people. They don't come from a creation or uh they come from consumption of others, which means all of these systems are trying to take from other people. And so the systems themselves, um, you have to really play the game to actually convince others to forfeit or give what it is you're trying to get from them. And the thing that happens is when you accumulate enough, like I said, you build on sand, the house, build a house is not a problem. It's what you built it on. And if you built it on consumption of others, you tried to take from everybody else, eventually people start catching on to it. And the greedy person or the attention-getting person starts getting the attention. That's why I said with this one for the attention, is I want all of them to see me, but I don't want them to get so close that they feel me because they'll see I'm lying. And that that means I'll lose everything. And now it turns into the self-preservation or protection of what I have gathered. And that's where you watch it switch from trying to accumulate into or acquire into fear. That's when you watch them go into it, went from like trying to get to now trying to keep. Now there's another path that goes, which goes towards pride. Let's talk about the one you talked about, which is fear. Now it's like I'm gonna lose this. They're gonna they're all gonna get this from me if they've if they find out about me. I'll lose everything that I've got, I'll lose everything I have. And they start now going into like hoarding mentality. I have to protect, I have to protect. At that point, they push everyone away, they keep everyone out, they up security, they raise up all the guards, they get better, better block blocks and locks on being able to get access to. Everyone has to get away, they're all just gonna take my things, they're all just gonna take my stuff, they all want what I have. You're just jealous, you wish you had what I had, and they start getting very protective. The fear system obviously starts to dwindle supply, and you'll watch what their biggest fear becomes manifested, what they focus on, they create, and so then they start losing everything. And at the end of that cycle, they end up completely alone because they had to push everyone away, they had to isolate, and then they just watch all of their supply dwindle down. And at the end of the fear system, you end up alone. That's the separation element of it's inevitable. And if you build your house on sand, it's going to fall apart, it's guaranteed.
SPEAKER_03I would just add, they end up alone and wondering, where's my motivation?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, where's your fucking motivation? Well, they get motivated, hopefully, after that. There's you know, it either goes to quit the game or play play fair.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. You know what comes to mind when you say that? Like, uh, remember in The Hobbit where like Thorado can chill, he gets dragon sickness from like hit once he gets what he wants, he's like, I won't part with even a single coin. You like the it like that thing that he's got and it's surrounded by fear. Like, he's like, I can't lose this, my people or whatever, like all of his motives, like and then he just turns into a fucking sick, like monster because he's like, I can't lose this, I can't lose this, right? Like, that's it's what it does, but when you have that fear or like um scarcity mindset for the foundation, like it's dragon sickness, crazy.
SPEAKER_00But he had he had more than he could ever use, and that's the point of it. Is it went from I need to acquire into once it was acquired, then it went to I need to protect or preserve. And that went the motivation went from get more to don't lose what I have, and that's where the fear took over. Um, the same thing happens with the pride element of it, too. Um, people who um be a one-hit wonder on their music charts or uh, you know, be famous for a movie or something where people actually have something that is validating to them. And uh the issue is is that type of success, depending on the person, can take much, much longer to convert into a fear system because it can constantly uh gain the element of attention from people, thing things that aren't even in the category of what it is. Like, oh my God, hey Jordan, you're our restaurant? Come in here. We'll we'll we'll you can eat on us, you'll eat for free. And it's very validating that you're now acquiring a food or a meal for something that was a job that had nothing to do with your meal. You were an actor or a singer or or something that it was, you know, a thing that people were like, oh, I admired what you did. And so that's very difficult to not get sucked into the pride element of I must be better than everyone else. Look at how I'm treated, you know, and the treatment from others can can really feed that for a long time. But there is a point too, like I was we I was talking to a buddy of mine who uh he's in the music industry and he was hanging out with Hinder. I don't know if Jordan, if you were listening to that conversation on Tuesday, he's hanging out with Hinder, and I'm like, isn't that the song like 20 years ago that he was talking about cheating on his girl? Yeah, like that's like the whole song is like, I'm cheating on my girl on this song. He's been singing, yeah. I cheating the next girl. Yeah, I've been cheating on my girl for 20 years. He's probably married and has kids now or whatever his life. I don't know who the fuck the guy is. But there he's like, Yeah, we get to hang out with these guys. I'm like, isn't that the cheat on your girl singer guy? That's what I associate this guy to. It's been 20 years since he wrote this song that I didn't like then either. Because I'm like, This song's about cheating. This is a shitty dude. I hope he gets fucking divorced. Like, this is not a good guy, yeah. You know, and so he's like, Yeah, we get to hang out with them, and look how amazing this is, and look how awesome it is. And I said, What are you trying to get the attention from these people to do? Look how they're stuck in a cycle of constantly having to sing something that that isn't healthy, yeah always. And you're in an industry of people who are trying to just pray off of this one thing that they did to try to have this validation of wow, you're amazing. Why? Because I glorified cheating on my girlfriend, and you're like, Wow, you're so cool, dude. Or like that Chapel Roan shit where she's like Pink Pony Club, and you're like, That's where I belong, and you're like, You belong as a stripper. That's where J.R. Harvey he was like, Where's dad in this song? Yeah, like you want to be known for doing self-exploitation, and that's where you belong, exploiting yourself for money, that's where you belong. The most sacred element of who you are, you belong as a stripper, or you belong as an OnlyFans person. You ex you you exploit yourself, and that's where you belong, and that's what you'll be known for. You'll be singing this when you're 46, going Pink Pony Club, and you're like, You're 46. You have kids. Stop singing this shit.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you become a slave to your system. Like, I I saw um like ACDC or like Metallica, you know, on like YouTube or something. I'm like, I'm like, dude, they're so fucking old. I'm like, it's kind of sad. I'm like, I I guarantee you this is not enjoyable anymore. I'm like, dude, you guys are so old. Like, I it's cool, I guess, but I'm like, dude, you've just been on the road, just like on a bus for the last 45 years singing Inner Sandman or Back in Black or whatever. And I'm like, man, like, or uh there was like a comedian, like this guy, Timmy No Breaks, he was on like Kill Tony, and he it was like an Andrew Dice Clay type of he's oh, you know, like the New Yorker kind of thing, and then like tired of it, yeah, dude. He was on a podcast, he's like, dude, he's like, I fucking hate my life. He's like everywhere I go, he's like, I have to be this character, and I'll be honest with you, I'm not even that funny outside of it. It was just a thing and it worked, and now I'm fucked.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, he literally said, My dreams came true, and I fucking hate it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's it's it's that's exactly the thing. This is why I'm so grateful for the field that I'm in because my authenticity is so loud, is that like I'm evolving in front of you, and I'll be very blatant when I'm like, Yeah, I outgrew that thing that I used to do. I don't have to keep being this character because I was never a character. I'm a dude who's growing alongside you, and I'm going to keep evolving, even with the warrior's way. Um, some of the vernacular that I used when I started this, even like you know, six, seven years ago. When I started this thing for that system, when it went from everything is a choice, from I wrote that book and I had just a mile a day before that. The evolution of what it took to get to this point, I'm already evolving out of that stage. That stage is still necessary because guys coming in need that vernacular to get their mind and their body together so they can go into heart and spirit. But my heart and spirit side is at a very different level than when I started off with like tactics and action, then it went into connection and purpose. And it's like, well, these things all go together, but my vernacular for heart and spirit is a very different is a different energy completely, and so being able to have the space to evolve and not be stuck as I'm singing the same one hit wonder, which I think about these ones where if I was like I had some high school sweetheart that blew up, and I'm like, Samantha, I love you forever. I could never think of being with another in my whole life. If any other woman ever tried, I'd kick her out of the house. And you're like, Yeah, I didn't marry Samantha. Um, my wife over here is a totally different chick, and she's got to watch me singing about this Samantha bitch. Yeah, that I'm like, You're the soulmate that I'll never leave. It's like, no, we did we stopped talking at 19. I I hate the song fucking blew up. I still had to sing this for the last 30 years. I fucking hate that bitch. We don't even talk, you know. It's like that sucks. That sucks that your one-hit wonder is something that ain't even associated to you anymore.
SPEAKER_02Not only that, but dude, if your name is Roxanne, like you're fucked.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I just think it's like Jesse's girl, too. That guy's actually still going, and I think there's something to be said for guys like that where it's like, hey man, if you really are up there and you love it, if you're really inside that Goku costume and you actually love it and you're being like, you know, just having a day with it, sweet. There's no one.
SPEAKER_00I actually hung out with the the guitarist for uh Jesse's girl for a while. He he he's a sweet dude, but he fucked his life up. He was just playing guitar at a hotel. I used to hang out with him. Um, yeah, striker, he's a sweet dude, is he's a good guy, but man, he fucked up, he was not okay. But I remember hanging out with him. If you think about that song, Jesse's girl, what's the song singing about?
SPEAKER_02It's like he wants to fuck his buddy's girlfriend, he's really jealous of her.
SPEAKER_00You're you're a you're a fucking asshole, dude. Like, yeah, like you are not a cool dude. You're sitting here with envy, you're sitting here just being envious, and you're you're breaking the fucking don't covet your fucking guy's like girl. Like, you you're a punk, dude. Like, you are not a cool dude, and like it's a glorified version of like just his girl. It's like not good, dude. You suck, you're a shitty friend, you're not a good dude. And if other people were like you, they'd all be trying to fuck your girl, dude. You're a covetous, envious bitch.
SPEAKER_03I'm like, you were a guy in the Bible, you'd be David, you'd send him to the front lines and get yeah.
SPEAKER_00This is you're like, this is a tough thing to like. I love that song, you know, and like it's it's such a crazy thing because people don't listen to these lyrics. You're like, this is not healthy lyrics. This is if you're singing this song, this is you're not a good dude, like you're a shit dude or shit girl. Some of these songs are not healthy.
SPEAKER_02I went through that a while back. Like, I was going through my uh I I I still use Pandora, that's how dated I get. But like I got like a playlist, there's probably like 1500 songs in there, and I was just going through the other day, and I'm like, damn, like I can't listen to this anymore. Like, I like there was like a perfect circle went on there, and and it's just like fuck your god, and I was like, Oh, geez, like I never caught that before. Like, damn, like that's gotta go, or like you know, you're listening, like Steely Dane, and it's like, hey, 19. You know, he's like, wait, like this guy's old as fuck. He's like, Chase around 19-year-old girls. Like, this is weird, you know, or like all those 80s songs, it's like little girl. I'm like, wait a minute, like, how little are these girls? Like, this is weird. Like, I never came out.
SPEAKER_00Andrea pulled that up with that that Bruce Springsteen song, like, I'm on fire. Like the first line is like, Hey, little girl, where's your daddy home? Like, you know, it's like it's like what are you doing? What are you doing there? He's singing about like some little kids not home, uh home alone without dad. And if he's not around, oh I got urges and desires. It's like this sounds like pedophilia, kiddo. Like, what the fuck are you doing? This is not a good song. This is bad, this is bad people stuff.
SPEAKER_03Yep, it's a mission of guilt right here.
SPEAKER_00This should be a prison sentence right here. This is not good. Yeah, that that's your favorite song. You need Jesus.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Not good. Not good. No, it's tough. It's tough. I don't I have a hard time listening to uh to almost all music now. I listen to frequency music more than anything else. If you guys have ever hung out with me, I don't yeah, I almost never have uh songs with words on in the background. I just keep energy in the house. And uh I I very rarely will have uh songs that have words. This is why I appreciate what uh what Noel is doing is the songs that I'll listen to the most is the ones where we'll take conversations like this. Grab an important element that people need to apply, create a song that's an earworm that makes it so like uh something I need to remember, like be authentic and and and be genuine and and love love as you would be loved, some message that's important for people to remember in their everyday life, uh, how to defeat doubt and how to overcome fear and how to remove the depression elements of shame and pain and how to grieve effectively, and taking these um really important life lessons and best practices and turning them into music. So now the lyrics that we're using are actually content that can be applied that are timeless, and it's not about having bling, going to a club, fucking girls, or having more than others to try to create some sort of validation to myself that I'm better than you for material things. You have no virtues and yet you want to be worshipped. It's a very interesting world we're in. So I praise him because the content I'm creating with him is um, let's make songs that have substance that you can apply to your actual life for a long time, instead of making a sound about something that I'm going to outgrow. Because if I'm 45 years old and I'm singing about fucking 17-year-olds because that was when my high school hit went off, right? It's just gross feeling now. It doesn't feel good watching it like back in black. The guy's 84 going, you shook me on along. You know, he's back in the ACDC. Like, he's like, I don't want to think about you fucking dude. I really don't.
SPEAKER_02The only problem is like we we're living in a material world, and I'm a material girl, you know.
SPEAKER_01Oh, there you are.
SPEAKER_02Just just dumbass messages, but I'm like, God, that's that hook though. Just ear worms, like you said. It's like, god dang it.
SPEAKER_03My problem is just WAP, you know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, see, we were in that too. It was like, I remember I remember hearing this on the radio like a year last year, the year before Christmas. They're like, We're not playing um like some of this old Christmas music because like, hey man, like it's kind of offensive. And then the number one top charted part is wet ass pussy.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and like that's the number one hit. Yeah, that was when they took uh what's the song where it's like um the duet thing, the girl and the guy going, it's cold outside. Oh, yeah, that's what it was.
SPEAKER_02That's what it was. Yeah, it was like well he was probably abusive.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, he was slipping her, he was doing uh slipping her roofies and shit. Yeah, but what that's gonna be hitting the number one chart. Let's give her a ward. Yeah, that's crazy. Fucking hypocrites, dude. Yeah, yeah. She's willingly not mopping.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, she is not. But man, I'll tell you why. That's maybe we'll end on a laugh there because that's a lot to think about, and there's a lot of paradoxes that need examined after listening to this conversation. It's like, oh shit, like my priorities are very backwards.
SPEAKER_00But man, well, it's it's been a pleasure hanging with you guys. I'm glad we got to do this. Yeah. So for any of you guys, um, I'm just gonna put out the disclaimer for you guys. Any of you guys out there who wonder what the hell we actually do, uh, we do work with men and we actually do represent and actually do things that go into deep work and really discovering the strength and the authenticity of who you really are, so you can actually serve and help and love in the way that you're built to do it. So just putting the disclaimer, it's not for everybody.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. We can have real conversations every day. We can talk about real things and face real problems and actually have real humility and real authenticity. And it's welcome too. Absolutely. Thanks for your time, Rick, Justin. Thank you. Always appreciate you guys, and we'll do it again soon. See you guys.
