The Battlefield Of The Mind
176. Strength in Letting Go
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Rick shares the backstory behind the music and video, describing the heavy weight of pressure, emotions, struggles, and pain many people carry. He says many today struggle to balance mind, heart, body, and spirit, highlighting a trainee who particularly struggled with the spiritual side. Rick explains that people often don’t know how to pray, surrender, or release the pain in their chest, and admits he also didn’t know at first. Despite studying psychology, completing trainings and certifications, and being able to diagnose and label problems, he still couldn’t get rid of his pain—only organize it. He recounts a moment in the middle of the night when, frustrated, he told God he didn’t understand and then surrendered completely.

You just can't care. It's just too much. Gather the weight.
SPEAKER_00The pressure.
SPEAKER_05The emotions. The struggles. The tribulations. This mountain of pain sitting on marches.
SPEAKER_03Breathe in.
SPEAKER_01Deep breath out. Slow. What's up, warriors? Alright, so Rick here. I'm gonna give you a little backstory to the music, uh, the video, and uh the clip that you're gonna end up watching here. I feel like the story is relevant to what it is. Um, a lot of people today are really struggling with balance between mind, heart, body, and spirit. And this is one of our guys who's trained with us who was really struggling with the spirit side. And this is an element of my purpose, something I've had to learn to do, but people don't have this part right, especially when it comes to how to pray or how to uh surrender or give up the pain or the suffering that you have inside of your chest. Um, I'll very openly admit I didn't know how to do this, and I was actually uh able to figure this out by full surrender to my own uh purpose. And what I did is in the middle of the night, while I'd gone through all the psychology books, I've gone through all the trainings, I've got certifications and learned all these different elements, I could diagnose with no problem with a psych background. I could understand and understood the problem, but I couldn't get rid of everything. It still had a mountain of pain, it was just organized now, the correct labels on them. And I remember being in the middle of the night after going through all of these things of just frustration and banging my head on the wall where I was laying in the in in bed, and I just said, God, I don't I don't understand, I don't get it. I thought I had it, but I don't have it, you know. So I uh surrendered right there. I said, I surrender completely to you. And there was uh this this thought or this this energy that came into me that says, like, give me your mountain, and it's less than a grain of sand to me. Give me your mountain. And with that, I was like, that can't be that easy. So I said, Okay, I completely open my heart, my soul to you. I'm yours, take my mountains, I offer them to you. And in that moment, it felt like somebody stepped off of my chest. And learning how to do that, and learning how to get off of that weight off of me, God said, Now you're able to do this, gather the pain in the mountains of others and bring them to me until you can teach them how to do it yourself or themselves. So I lead people up the mountain by taking the weight off of them so that way they can get to the source themselves and no longer need me. So this is a clip of one of the guys, Ryan, who has tapped into an element of he's done all the stuff he could think to do, and he was struggling with how to do the element of giving up, which is give to God, not quitting. He didn't know how to do it, and he was shaming himself in the system. And I caught on to what he was doing, and this is a real call, real time. There was a lot of guys on this call, and so on this, him and I locked shields team up and I show him how to pray in a way that gives honor and meaning, not necessarily shame, inadequacy, or feeling hopeless. So I hope you guys enjoy the clip. Brian. What a weekend, bro. Yes. How's your heart today, man? How you feeling? First of all, um, thank you.
SPEAKER_02I know I'm much more aware of how much I'm actually like that letting go apart. It's fucked everywhere, dude.
SPEAKER_01I know.
SPEAKER_02So thank you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I feel you. You're good. You and I are good. We're good. I knew you were hurting, you're good. Um, I know you didn't mean to come in like that. You don't have to apologize. We're already cool. How are you doing? I'm getting this weight off of you that's not yours.
SPEAKER_02It's it's a roller coaster right now. Like it just comes up and breathe and physically like we'll do the action of let go and just keep repeating let go or praying and give it, you know, take it, take it, take it.
SPEAKER_01Give it, yeah. Um, yeah. How are you doing it? I want to see if I can strengthen your uh your outlet. Like, show me an example of like I gotta get this off of me. Like, how are you praying or how are you doing it? And if you want to do it together, I'll show you how I do it so that way you can be more effective in the release of it. Okay. So, like, actually, right now it's good because it's it's it's I can feel it.
SPEAKER_02Um I'll just start breathing.
SPEAKER_01So, I mean, if you want me to do it, it's yeah, but you still have it all built up, right? It's like right here. Yes. Yeah, so show me how you're trying to get this off of you.
SPEAKER_02It's coming up like right now, like I just uh go into my breathing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but you're at the brink of tears. I can I'm like I'm at the brink of tears, I can feel you. We have to get this off of this area. Like I can feel it from like it's like from like heart all the way up into your throat. Like there's it's like something standing on you. How do we get this off? I want to see how you do it. Let's get this thing off of you. And and it's okay if it's not perfect or whatever. We're gonna get this together, okay? Don't worry about it being right. I'm gonna show you how I do it too. We'll do it together.
SPEAKER_02I just I got this weight. I just can't carry it. It's just too much. You just help me let go.
SPEAKER_01It's doing a little, but it's not doing it, is it? No. So I want to help you. And then I'll I'll pray with you. I'll show you how I do this too, because it's a surrender element of it. You don't have to say, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't. Okay? I can't do it. It's not I can't I'm not able, I can't do this. It's not about what you can't do, it's something that's an honor to do. You've gathered the weight and pressure of all of these emotions and struggles and tribulations and growth and uh situations that have revealed elements of you to yourself. None of these are shameful, okay? So to go, like, I can't do it, I can't do it, I can't do it. Be very careful of the words we use upon ourselves. This is a spell that goes against the faith element of God Himself. It's like, no, I I can do this with you. And together, I fully, with full surrender and full honor, give up the mountains that are the weight that's on me. Take my mountains. And I I call them mountains because like it's so much pile of so much pain that's sitting on your chest. I just call this as a mountain of pain. But remember to God, I'm this mountain of yours is a less than a grain of sand to him. And it's like, give it to me, I can handle this. I need you to understand that the surrender of your mountains is not because of shame or inadequacy or because you're weak. It's not because you can't do it. It's an honor to gather the pain of this world and give it to God. And thank you, God, please take these mountains. I sacrifice and give this mountain of pain to you. I no longer require this. And I'm grateful to be able to serve you and gather these mountains and give them to you. God, I surrender this mountain of pain. Please, I no longer require it and I offer it to you as a sign of strength, loyalty, honor, and compassion. Through my deepest of love, God, please take my mountains. It's an honor to serve. Give it to God like that. And that's how I pray. When you pray, it's an honor to connect to the source. It's an honor to connect to Father. And just like you're a good dad, if your kid was like, Dad, I can't do anything, I can't do anything, I can't do anything, you'd be like, buddy, what are you doing, man? No, if your kid came to you and go, Dad, can you help me? I need you to carry some of the weight on this. Can you help me carry the other side of this? What would you say? Yes. And if you said, Dad, I appreciate you so much. You're so strong, and I'm so grateful you're my dad, how would it feel for the connection that you have while you carry this weight? Feels good. That feels good, right? That's how you talk. Like the same way that it would make you feel. Remember, this is a father, just as you are. And how would it make you feel for your kid to go, Dad, I appreciate you so much. And I've got this weight that I can't carry. And I I wouldn't say it that way, but I got this, I can't do it alone. But I do want to have you with me, and I'm honored to have the father with me. And please help me take these mountains. It's I have so much gratitude and appreciation for you helping. Please take these mountains off my chest as I offer them as a sacrifice of my service to you, my gratitude to you. Do you see how it's all positive? Yes, there's no shame involved in connection. Okay. Do you want to try it again or do you want me to do it with you?
SPEAKER_02I want you to do it with me. Uh I'm gonna have to practice that line.
SPEAKER_01Okay. I I do this. I even I prayed on my girl before we even started this. I'll pray with you, okay? All right, Heavenly Father, please work through my brother Ryan. Please work through all the guys here. Please take the mountains of pain that we offer and gather to you in a service and a honor of being able to give you our love and our faith and our surrender of the pain that we have carried from all the people around us. Please take the mountain of pain from our transgressions, from our dishonesty, from our disloyalty, from our mistakes. Take the mountains that are sitting upon me and put those up into your hands. I offer these to you in humble service and full gratitude. Thank you, Father. In your son's name, Yeshua. Amen. And just surrender, just take my mountain, breathe in consciousness and God, and then breathe out bullshit. These are not your weight anymore, and just let that go. Like, thank you, Father, for taking the weight off of my chest, and feel it lighten off of you as you surrender your soul open completely. Just take it off of me. I don't need these, I don't need the pain of others and the pain that I've gone through. Let it out of you. You don't need to carry this. That pain has already taught you the lesson that you needed. You no longer have to carry the burden of the pain of it, for you already learned, and now you can be good. This is important. God is connection, not religion. The Son of Man, Yeshua, he was the connector to this for us. He showed us how to do it. And so through him we can keep breathing and let it off your chest, like let it roll out, and you can feel it pull off of you. There you go, you feel it lighter. It'll come off in chunks too, because it's a lot. You feel it? Yeah. Thank you. Remember, you're praying and connecting not because you're not enough. It's because together you're unstoppable. You can do anything. Kingdom of heaven is within us, bro. You have a soul. The link to manifestation, creation, law of attraction, law of frequency, all these laws are created by a lawmaker. If you tap into it, your spirit is connected as a part of that. You are not weak, you are not inadequate, you are not purposeless, you are not hopeless, you are built for greatness, but we must surrender to our greatness because you have it. You just forgot it. This is everybody in here, by the way. This gets higher up in the mountain. A lot of you guys are still in base camp. Once you get higher up the mountain, and I show you where you can see that, you're like, fuck, how the fuck did I miss that before? I'm like, you weren't looking. You were looking at yourself. You weren't looking at anything greater. Ryan, you're built for this. You're a peacemaker. You're designed to make it so the world around you is fucking healing and stronger and safer. Blessed are the peacemakers. That's what you are. So don't carry the weight of all of other people's hate and hurt and manipulation and sorrow and pain. That is not yours. I surrender that with humility and honor. Thank you, God, for taking my mountains. This is uh why I do Sabbaths. You have to have a day where you just go, like at least a few hours of God, get this shit off of me. None of us are built to carry it. And I have to do this at least once a week, if not every other week. I have to make sure I have my time to take the pain I gather from you because I could feel the shit out of you, bro. I have to make sure this stuff gets off of me, too. And all of us in here are connected, and you can feel the pain of your brothers going through difficult things. It's not yours to carry, but you can learn from this and then give the pain to God. This is spirit side, it's surrender makes you strong.
SPEAKER_02Thank you.
SPEAKER_01Cool. We're cool, thank you. You feel better? I know you gotta keep letting the it's a lot lighter than it was. I do. It is. There's this there's a lot there. You gotta do chunk by chunk, but that's how you do it. Okay, but keep taking the chunks off and keep going. It's an honor, Father. Thank you, Father. Please get this thing off of me. Thank you. Like be grateful and have gratitude, not inadequacy, not shame, but gratitude. And you'll feel it get lighter and lighter and lighter. Okay.
SPEAKER_02I can do that. Thank you.
SPEAKER_01Good. Yeah, you were doing it with shame. That's not how it's worked. That's not how it works. All right. Good. Thanks, brother. Good shit. Um, that's advanced. That's not necessarily it's uh it's after warrior training, but he's already gone through warrior training. So I needed to strengthen his tools for those of you who are like, is that what we do here? That's advanced. Uh we don't go through that's more psychology in warrior training. Um, we get into spirituality and the strengthening of your authenticity after you've gone through boot camp. So, in case you guys are wondering if this is a church group or something, it's not. It's a relationship group, it's brotherhood, it's service to something greater. But there's no church I require you to go to. We're in church right now when there's a gathering of two or more. So understand that this isn't uh this isn't anything you would assume it would be to try to convert. I don't require that. It's not what this is, it's connection, not converting.
SPEAKER_05You just can't care. When it's just too much of gather the weight, the pressure, the emotions, the struggles, the tribulations, this mountain of pain sitting on my chest.
SPEAKER_03Breathing, deep breath out, slowly, but this isn't about what I can't do.
SPEAKER_05This isn't shame, this isn't weakness. It's an honor to gather the pain of this world and give it back to the source.
SPEAKER_04I don't have to carry the hate the hurt. That is not mine. I am a free to make a build for greatness.
